In Mbongo National Park, it is Rabia, lioness and Queen of the Jungle’s birthday. Her subjects have all assembled to give her presents. No one dares to disobey the Queen. But the party is interrupted by a low flying aircraft and then an air crash.
The animals all rush off to investigate. Two children, Mark and Lucy, survive the crash and, armed with just a map, go in search of help. But the jungle is full of danger, particularly from Rabia and her network of spies. So which animals will help them and, more to the point, which ones won’t.
